Branches

This screen provides functionality to add and maintain branches of the main Tourdesk company.

Opens/Edits the selected branch in the Company screen with associated users

The branch ID number. Automatically generated

Branch Name

User defined branch name or description

Address

The address of the branch

Suburb

The suburb of the branch

Country

The country of the branch

Phone

The phone number of the branch

Enabled

Automatically generated. 1 indicates active

Add New

Opens a blank Company screen to create a new branch with users

Company

This screen contains the branch details. If an existing branch was selected a Users Tab is shown as well.

Form Functionality

Label

Description

Company Name:

The name of the company which is using Tourdesk. This is the name that will be sent to and used by the tour operator/s

(Australia Only) ABN:

For Australia only - enter none if not applicable

Phone:

The full contact telephone number of the company which is using Tourdesk

Street Address:

The street address of the company which is using Tourdesk

Suburb/City:

The suburb or city of the company which is using Tourdesk

Post Code:

The postal/zip code of the company which is using Tourdesk

State:

The state/province/region/canton/etc of the company which is using Tourdesk

Country:

The country of the company which is using Tourdesk

Reservations:

The contact person to receive reservation emails. Select the user by the drop down arrow. Add new users in the Users tab

Accounts:

The contact person to receive accounting issue emails.

Technical:

The contact person to receive technical issue emails.

Show By Region Availability Grid:

If Yes is selected, the five day availability grid on the By Region screen is displayed

Show By Operator Availability Grid:

If Yes is selected, the five day availability grid on the By Operator screen is displayed

If enabled, the selected tab will be displayed on the Product Catalog screen

Tab Order

Clicking on the blue up arrow will move a tab one position to the left in the Product Catalog screen. Clicking on the blue down arrow will move a tab one position to the right in the Product Catalog screen.

Tab Description

The description of the tab for which the user reference can be found in the Product Catalog screen:

Base Currency

The currency through which all conversions take place. This company and all branches uses this. The conversion rates are set in My Company->Currency Rates

Default Currency

The currency shown on the booking cart screen. Branches can have independent default currencies, but not base currencies

Enable Freeform bookings:

If Yes is selected, free form bookings are shown for operators in the Product Catalog screen

Show freeform only operators in product list:

If Yes is selected, operators with only a free form option is showed as well

Enable Discounting:

If Yes is selected, a Tourdesk user can enter a free form discount amount on the tour/s in the booking cart

Browse...

Opens a file browser screen to browse for the graphic file

Save Changes

Saves any changes made to the Company screen

Cancel

Discards any changes made to the Company screen

Users

Form Functionality

Label

Description

First Name:

The user's first name

Last Name:

The user's last name

Organisation:

If the user works at a branch, the drop down arrow can be used to select the branch name.

Phone:

The user's telephone number

Email:

The user's email address

User ID:

The username which must be unique in Tourdesk

Password:

The password for the username - case sensitive

Branch Location:

The location of the user's branch

Enabled

Select to enable the user to log into and use Tourdesk

Administrator

The user have administrator rights and access to My Company and Reports screens

Training Only

The user can not commit any bookings

Anonymous User (for Direct Consumer bookings)

This user profile is used in a website integrated with Tourdesk

Copy My Regional Preferences to New User

Provides the same regional preferences as the user that is logged on, to the new user

Copy My Operator Preferences to New User

Provides the same operator preferences as the user that is logged on, to the new user

Save Changes

Creates the new user or saves any changes made to an existing user

Cancel

Discards any new/changed information and returns to the Users screen
