Adding Tours to the Cart

Overview
In TourDesk there are many different ways to add different tours to the cart. This tutorial will show each of the different methods and how to use them.
Adding a Tour via Product Catalog
In the Product Catalog you can add a tour through the:
5 Day Spread
The 5 Day Spread is one of the most common ways of adding tours to the booking cart. It allows users to see a tour's availability up to five days ahead of the current date and add the tour to the cart with that day already pre-filled. In the Product Catalog, choose the product that will be added to the booking cart...
Looking at availability, click on the day next to the tour with available slots in the 5 Day Spread...
TourDesk will now add the selected tour and date to the cart where the user can choose to continue browsing or finalise the booking...
Availability Grid
The Availability Grid allows a user to find out about availability of a desired tour past the 5 Day Spread and add the tour to the cart with that day already pre-filled. In the Product Catalog, choose the product that will be added to the booking cart and click Show All...
With this grid, you have the option of finding availability a lot further into the future. Click on the day desired...
TourDesk will now add the selected tour and date to the cart where the user can continue to browse or finalise the booking.
Shopping Cart
The Shopping Cart link is a simple tool that adds the selected tour to the shopping cart, regardless of date. In the Product Catalog, choose the product that will be added to the booking cart and click the arrow underneath the

TourDesk will now add the selected tour with the current date to the cart where the user can choose to continue browsing or finalise the booking.
Free Form Option
The Free Form option is a feature that allows the user to add a blank product for any operator in TourDesk. When adding a free form booking to the cart a user can specify the description, date, price, availability and any other items to do with the tour.
Please Note: A free form booking is generally done while in contact with an operator as an operator reference is required to confirm the booking.

Availability Grid
The Availability Grid allows a user to find out about availability of the tour and add it to the cart with the selected day already pre-filled. In the Product Info screen, click on Availability Grid...
