Respax Operator Network (RON) Introduction
RON is a real-time, system-to-system gateway to multiple Respax Operators using a simple XMLRPC application interface. It enables real-time availability checking and bookings directly into each operators reservation system. Respax Operator Network is a network of operators using the Respax Reservation system as their tour management system. The network provides real-time access to the operator's tour content, images, pricing, availability as well as offer direct, real-time booking facilties.
The network also provides data buffering, caching and server probing to ensure maximum availability of operator servers and product. As RON is heavily cached, it reduces the constant dependancy for remote operator servers to be online and available. It makes the API access much more dependable and gives it a higher availability propability.
XMLRPC is a simple XML based data exchange system with client and server tools supported on virtually all platforms and development environments. The Respax Operator Network XMLRPC server provides a simplified method to access a central cache which in turn connects to multiple tour operator's ResPax databases. API Reference Detailed information and syntax to the Respax Operator Network API can be found at RON XML API We provide a testing enviroment for you to test and trial your integration.
Training XMLRPC server url is: http://ron.respax.com.au/section/xmlrpc/server-ron.php?config=train. Use the same login as you used to log in to this application. The config paramter specifies which network you are using. While you are developing your interface, you can only use the training network. Once you have completed the integration of the RON API and is able to communicate with the remote systems in the test enviroment, we will check you API and you will be certified as a live system. Once certified, you will be able to request login maps to each remote operator.
Operator Mapping The Respax Operator Network maintains your existing relationship with the operator by mapping logins to the Respax Operators. Each operator manages its own agents (thats you) and their logins. You will need to map a login to each operator that you wish to use and book. You can easily request a login from each operator under Operators/Login Maps tab in this application.
While you are developing and integrating the RON API on the training netowkr, you do not have to request maps from each operator. You will be connected to each operators training/testing enviroment as a anonymous user. Once your have completed the interface, you will be certified and able to request live logins.
Support Trinity Software Australia, the developers of Respax Systems, offer email support for API integration with your systems. We continue to improve and extend on the API as we see the need. The API is designed to be plain and simple but still highly functional. We welcome any suggestions, feedback or discussion regarding this API.
