Overview
HOHO Maintenance is a customised manual describing the setup of tours in the HOHO ResPax system. It assumes that the reader has read Res Manager 1 generic ResPax training documentation and it should be used in conjunction with the ResMan1 document.
Tour Maintenance
DayTour – daytour is a component set up as a daytyour that describes the brochured daytours (usually other operator’s tours):
CODE – ‘TOURNAME’ being the full name of the daytour where possible. If the passname is too long then shorten the name to something easily identified by agents who are less familiar with your codes. AVOID using CRYPTIC CODES (must be in CAPITALS with NO SPACES/ODD CHARACTERS).
Name – Full description of daytour putting TOURNAME code in first in capital letters, followed by space hyphen space and then the description (***** – City Orientation Tour).
Operator – select the tour operator.
Owner – select Hop-on Hop-off.
Price Matrix Type – Pax/Basis/Subbasis – daytours will have many basis(s) and subbbasis(s) to control tour inclusions and prices.
Schedule – add new time(s) where appropriate and make one a default. Passes do not have a start time but ResPax must have a schedule on a daytour to work correctly.
Advanced – for Can have Components, Use New Price Matrix and Disable Availability Check.
Can have Components – Yes – components selected to be available in a daytour are controlled in packaged under the daytour. These package sets are enabled using Can have Components.
Use New Price Matrix – Yes – all HOHO daytours will use the new price matrix. (The old price matrix is only required for older ResPax clients).
Disable Availability Check – Yes/No – This must be set according to whether the daytour is freesell or not, and whether the availability for the tour is set on the components underneath the daytour or at the top level. If availability check is enable then availability must be set using Max Pax or Resources.
Resource/Price Settings – for setting Default Max Pax and Infant not included in Availability.
Resources – Set Range – use the resources to set availability and availability message for appropriate days.
Allotments – Set Range – use if HOHO is keeping allotments for particular agents of a particular tour.
Price Matrix – for Basis/Subbasis and Prices.
Edit Basis – add a new Basis for each different set of inclusions in the pass and a new Subbbasis for each price that applies to the pass.
Price Matrix – Add New – add a price range for each basis and subbasis.
Components – Add New - to add package sets for each basis (and subbasis where relevant) to control the components available under the pass.
Component list – Add DayTour/Add Accommodation/Copy Components to add appropriate components/accommodation under a package set. Do this for each package set created to select the inclusions of the daytour.
Edit Component – to select CODE/Time/Basis/Subbasis/Overall tour sequence/Day/AdHoc sector/Insert unconfirmed as appropriate.
Options – add options to pass if appropriate.
Bus Sector - Bus Sector is a component set up as a daytour that describes the lowest common denominator for setting availability on a bus and it must have the following features set:
CODE - this is made up of thread number and name followed by sequence number along the thread in lots of ten to allow route changes to be implemented easily. For example 1S10 is the first sector in thread 1 (Town1 to Town2)
Name - Full description of From – To (pickup location).
Operator - Select the tour operator.
Owner - Normally already set to Hop-on Hop-off by default. If not then select Hop-on Hop-off.
Price Matrix Type - None - There are no prices on a sector as it cannot be sold directly.
Schedule - Time of pickup for this sector and must be set as default.
Advanced - for Component Only and Enable Availability Check.
Component Only - Yes - Cannot be sold directly and can only be used in package sets.
Disable Availability Check - No - availability is controlled on the bus on the sector.
Resource/Price Settings - for Default Max Pax and Infant not included in Availability.
Default Max Pax - 0.
Infant not included in Availability – No – this must be deselected so that infants are included in availability as they do take a seat by law.
Routes – add appropriate sector pickup list to the sector by click and drag.
Accommodation Sector – accommodation sector is a component set up as a daytour that describes accommodations that can be used as inclusions in a pass. Accommodation sector will have the following features set:
CODE – ‘ACC + 3 letters + 1 number’ where ACC defines that the sector is an accommodation and the following 3 letters describe the locality of the accommodation and the number makes the code unique for the locality where there is more than one preferred accommodation in that locality (must be in CAPITALS with NO SPACES/ODD CHARACTERS) For example ACCTNA1 = Town 1 Accomodation 1, ACCTNA2 = Town 1 Accomodation 2 and ACCTNA3 = Town 1 Accomodation 3
Name – Full description of accommodation
Operator – select the accommodation operator.
Tour Category – Accommodation.
Owner – select Stray Travel.
Price Matrix Type – Pax/Basis/Subbasis – There are cost prices on an accommodation sector as it belongs to an outside operator who will need to paid.
Schedule – this will be set to the appropriate end of day arrival time for tha locality to make it logically at the end of the day. This time must be set as default.
Advanced – for Component Only, Use New Price Matrix and Disable Availability Check.
Component Only – Yes - Cannot be sold directly and can only be used in package sets.
Use New Price Matrix – Yes – costs need to be entered for flights to enable supplier invoices to be generated. (Old price matrix is only used by older users of ResPax).
Disable Availability Check – Yes
Price Matrix – for Basis/Subbasis and Prices.
Edit Basis – add a new Basis for each direction of the flight (make one a default) and a new Subbbasis of Standard (default) for each basis.
Price Matrix – Add New – add a price range cost for each basis and subbasis.
Pass – pass is a component set up as a daytour that describes the brochured passes:
CODE – ‘PASSNAME’ being the full name of the pass where possible. If the passname is too long then shorten the name to something easily identified by agents who are less familiar with your codes). AVOID using CRYPTIC CODES (must be in CAPITALS with NO SPACES/ODD CHARACTERS).
Name – Full description pass putting PASSNAME code in first in capital letters, followed by space hyphen space and then the description JACK – Town1 Town2 Town1).
Operator – select the tour operator.
Owner – will normally be selected to Hop-on Hop-off by default, if not then change to Hop-on Hop-off.
Price Matrix Type – Pax/Basis/Subbasis – passes will have many basis(s) and subbbasis(s) to control travel direction/travel origins/travel inclusions (accommodations etc) and prices.
Schedule – add new time 0.00 and default. Passes do not have a start time but ResPax must have a schedule on a daytour to work correctly.
Advanced – for Can have Components, Use New Price Matrix and Disable Availability Check.
Can have Components – Yes – sectors selected to be available in a pass are controlled in packaged under the pass. These package sets are enabled using Can have Components.
Use New Price Matrix – Yes – all HOHO passes will use the new price matrix. (The old price matrix is only required for older ResPax clients).
Disable Availability Check – Yes – All passes are free sell for all dates and conditions, regardless of when the pax is travelling. Availability for travel is controlled on the bus on the sector.
