Overview
Manipulating GBB and SEMISUB times on tours can be handled by treating the GBB and SEMISUB as buses with different departure times.
The Bulk Change - Bus Route tool can then be used to move bookings onto the correct GBB and SEMISUB times for printing on the ticket.
A bus route is then attached to the GBB and SEMISUB components that will have a default free sell time where the lunch times are variable, or a fixed time in a package set where the lunch time is fixed because of the timing of the other inclusions in the package.
Maintenance Setup (Examples Shown for GBB Only)
- Create a bus route to represent the GBB allotment GBBALL with schedules times the same as the GBB times.
- Add location to the bus route that represent the trip that the pax are booked on.
- Attach each route to the 00:00 time on the GBB tourcode
Add a default pickup of GBB 00:00 <trip code> to each component GBB in every package set where a time is to be manipulated using the bulk change tool.
Booking (Example Shown for GBB Only)
Make a normal booking using the inline editor. This will create the default allocations in the booking.
<F12> and CTRL-S will show the components in the ticket (FDBC in this example) – here the default GBB component is 0:00 time, unlimited availability, with a pickup name of FDBC so that it can be seen what trip this GBB is booked under.

Daily Maintenance
- Set GBB availability to the times the next day in maintenance.
Daily Reservations
- View the availability screen for the next day’s GBB allocations.
- Right click on any one of the bookings shown in the list, select Bulk Change - Bus Route
- The Bulk Change Bus Route tool displays each booking that has the GBB tour code as a components. From this view decisions can be made about which bookings need to be allocated to what GBB times.
In this example show it can be seen that the afternoon half-day GBBs must be allocated to afternoon times, the full day Reef Rocket must be allocated late morning times and the full day Big Cat can be allocated the earliest times in the day.
- Tick the bookings to be allocated to a new time.
- Click on the Available Routes tab and select the GBB time to allocate these bookings to then refresh to show availability.
- Double click on the route in the Available Routes screen to allocate the bookings to this GBB time.
- Accept the change.
Note that the refreshed screen shows the pax moved from the GBB 00:00 time to the new allocated 14:15 time making it easy to analyse the day’s glassy loadings.
