Basis and Subbasis/Type

Respax provides a treelike structure that can go up to three levels deep to uniquely identify a product/tour and link a price to it. The top level is the day tour or accommodation tour. The second level is called the Basis. The third level is called the Subbasis or on the "New Booking" screen - Type. See the following graphic.

In a graphical representation it might look like the following:

Using our 4 day dive course as an example:

The Tour is called 4D1N.

We have three types of accommodation: Single, Twin and Double. We also want to indicate sole occupancy for the twin and double. We will use the Basis to indicate these.

For some reason, we need to distinguish between English and Japanese. We will use the Subbasis/Type to do this.

Our diagram looks like this now:

In Maintenance -> Edit/Add Tours open the day tour or accommodation tour - in this example day tour 4D1N.
