Advanced Price Matrix Set-up

Overview
This section will demonstrate how to set up a tour price matrix according to advanced grouping criteria. The three options available are: Agent Code, Agent Type and Agent Category. Prior to setting the criteria in the price matrix, the Agent Type or Agent Category must be created in the Lookup Tables and set in the Agent Set-up.
Create Agent Category List
In Maintenance -> Lookups -> Agent Category tab. Click Add New and create the agent category. In this example let us say "Local special agents". Save the new Agent Category.
Create Agent Type List
In Maintenance -> Lookups -> Agent Type tab. Click Add New and create the agent type. In this example let us say "Special Discounts". Save the new Agent Type.
Set Agent Category
In Maintenance -> Edit/Add Organisations. Click on the applicable agent. In this example - Tutorial 2nd Agent. On the Agent Spec tab, click on the down arrow next to Agent Category and select Local special agents and Save.
Set Agent Type
In Maintenance -> Edit/Add Organisations. Click on the applicable agent. In this example - Tutorial 2nd Agent. On the Agent Spec tab, click on the down arrow next to Agent Type and select Special Discounts and Save.
Advanced Price Matrix Set-up - By Agent Code
In Maintenance -> Edit/Add Tours. Click on the applicable tour. In this example - 4 Day 1 Night Learn to Dive. Click on Prices -> Set Range.
Expand the Advanced Grouping section.
Select the By Agent Code radio button.
Type the Agent Code or F2 to show a list of agents.
Click on Done when the correct agent has been selected.
Click on Save Range to save and close the screen.

In Maintenance -> Edit/Add Tours. Click on the applicable tour. In this example - 4 Day 1 Night Learn to Dive. Click on Price Matrix -> Set Range.
Tick the Adv Group box.
Select the By Agent Type radio button.
Click on the down arrow under Agent Type to show a list of Agent Types and select Special Discounts.
Click on Save Range to save and close the screen.
