Notifications to Operators from Respax

Overview
Notifications are pdf files which can be emailed to Operators to notify them of a booking in respax.
Tour Maintenance
The tour code which will need a notification sent to the operator ... needs the following:
A valid Operator must be selected
The Operator Notification needs to be set to Email/Fax/SMS
Organisations Maintenance
The Operator to who the notification will be sent... needs the following:
A tick in the Operator checkbox.
Valid contact details for the type of notification to be sent. (Fax / Email details)
How a booking will behave
A new booking will always pop the notification message on commit:
Yes, Send Now will queue the notifications immediately (no preview), then display the Confirmation screen as usual.
The notifications will be classified as REQUEST.
No, Don't Send will bring up a message like this:
note the type will be Request rather than amendment
Clear All will clear the list of notifications.
The notification message will NOT appear on commit again UNLESS a change is made to the following fields in the booking:
- Tour Date
- Tour Basis
- Tour Sub Basis
- Passenger Numbers
- Pickup
No will go back to the previous message
If one of the above fields are changed and the booking is committed, the notification message will appear again.
And hitting “View Notifications” will display this screen:
NB: the notification type will be an AMENDMENT instead of Request
A single click on a line in the Operator Notification screen will open the notification:
This screen allows changes to the type (Amendment/Request/Cancellation), destination email address, from email address, subject line and email message. The notification attachment (a pdf report) cannot be edited.
Clear All will remove all the notifications from the list in the same way as “No, Don't Send” from the original screen.
Add New allows additional manual notifications to be sent.
Close will exit this screen but leave the list of notifications in the memory for the next time the booking is committed.
Send Now will queue all the notifications which are ticked.
