Allotment Manager
Maintenance - Allotment Manager Tool
A new allotment manager tool has been created in ResPax to allow more accurate setting and controlling of allotments against resources in products without the need for allotment agent codes.
The allotment tool assumes that Sales and Marketing give allotment to agent at the product level but that allotment will be set on all components of these products at every resource level where availability exits.
Click on the Allotment Manager Maintenance
This will open the Allotment Manager screen where allotments can be interrogated, set and cancelled.
The filters in the allotment screen can be set to view all agents over a large date range or a single agent for a single date range and tourcode.
Setting the parameters for just 1 Dec 2010 as an example ..
Allotments are set using the Set Range button.
A tourcode must be selected for view in the allotment manager to enable the Set Allotments screen to work. Allotments can only be set on one tour at a time (it’s a highly complex business).
Press the Set Range button and a preview screen of the allotments to be set will be displayed.
Check availability and Commit the accepted allotments.
Allotments can then be interrogated and managed at all levels by releasing packages at the top level, or individual resources (the boats) at the lowest level.
Inline Editor Bus View – Bus Route Pricing and Commissions
Maintenance – setting prices and commissions on bus routes
Bus pricing and commission has been added to the inline editor to enable pickups and dropoffs to be selected at any level in the ticket and, where appropriate, prices and commissions to be activated using the adhoc rule.
- Set prices against bus routes attached to the tickets in Price Matrix - Bus Route
A price must be set against each route, commission must be enable and the setting saved.
- Repeat this for all geographical pickup and dropoff routes.
- Price matrices with date ranges and advanced pricing can also be used with route pricing.
Reservation – booking pickups and dropoffs
Bus pricing will automatically come into the ticket where prices have been added against the ticket.
A new view has been created that will make picking bus routes more convenient. (This view is still being constructed and has not been completed at the time of res training – it may contain bugs with functionality/price/commission.)
CTRL-B in the in-line editor invokes the Bus View from where pickups and dropoffs only can be manipulated.
Only Pickup and Dropoff can be edited in this view. The usual F2 in the field will show the available locations.
Start typing the name of the location to reduce the list ..
Either down arrow and enter, select with the mouse with a double click, keep typing until there is only one location in the list and enter, or single click with the mouse then click on Done .. whatever works the quickest.
The pickup time will then be displayed next to the pickup name.
<F10> to save the change, <Esc> to close the Bus view.
