How to use the Commission Wizard

Overview
The commission wizard makes light work of implementing new complicated commission structures for agents.
Commission Wizard
This section explains the following scenario:
Agents are in a group with Group Org Id = DCM (this can be set-up in the agent maintenance section - see: http://wiki.respax.com.au/respax/r4a_tutorials_setupyouragents)
The commission changes from travel date 1 December 2010 from 22.5% to 25%.
All current bookings in the system with travel date from 1 December must reflect the new 25% commission.
Please note - Archived bookings WILL NOT update. All existing bookings must be opened and saved for commission to update.
Click on Maintenance, Commission Wizard and then "Start"
Tick the "Agent Group Id" and select "DCM" (F2 brings up the list as always) and "Done". Finally "Next".
Click "Check All" to select all the tours that the commission change is valid for and "Next".
1. Type in 25% as the default commission. That ensures that all bookings with commissions out of the date range that we will now set, respect that rate - 25%.
2. Tick "Use Matrix"
3. Fill in 22.5% (the old commission rate) under "All Pax", make sure the "Percentage" radio button is selected.
4. Set the range from when the "old" rate came into affect - I selected 01/01/2010 to the day before the new rate comes into affect: 30 November 2010.
5. Tick "Remove ALL existing commissions" This will delete all other commissions that are in place. If you do not want that, do not tick it. Same with the other two buttons.
6. Click "Next"
The next screen gives a summary what it will go and do. Click "Finish".
The last screen gives a summary what has been done. Click "Close Wiz".
