Overview
Respax for Windows is hosted on servers that are accessible to users via the Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) software and Apple Remote Desktop Connection software. This "How To" describes how to set up the Microsoft method with a shortcut on the desktop. For Apple refer to these sites: http://www.apple.com/support/remotedesktop/ ; http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/remote-desktop/default.mspx
The following sections assume that you log into a server called rh1.respax.com.au. There are other servers as well with a different name and domain. Follow the instructions sent by support to your company for exact computer names, usernames, passwords and domain names.
Windows95 to Windows2000 (no RDP client installed yet)
Windows 95 all the way to Windows 2000 does not have the RDP software installed. Go to this site: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/tools/rdclientdl.mspx and download and install msrdpcli.exe.
When that is completed, continue with the same procedure as for WinXP etc. below.
WindowsXP, Vista, Server2003, Server2008 (RDP client installed)
Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Communications -> Remote Desktop Connection to start RDP. (This could be somewhere else depending on your Windows version...)
Click on Options to show more details.
Follow the next few screens and make sure the same boxes are ticked etc.
On the General tab click on Save As and save the shortcut on you desktop and call it something like Respax Reservations.rdp or any name you prefer. Double click on this shortcut to login Respax.
